Nach der Premiere: Erste Stimmen zu "Das Zeiträtsel" von Disney aufgetaucht

Bei uns kommt die Kinderbuchverfilmung Das Zeiträstel (OT: A Wrinkle in Time) erst am 5. April in die Kinos. Die Premiere fand allerdings schon vor ein paar Tagen in Los Angeles statt. Wie es so ist, fanden in diesem Zug natürlich auch eine Menge Stimmen ihren Weg ins Internet. Das Ergebnis ist zwiegespalten. Auf der einen Seite loben viele Zuschauer den Film für den fantastischen Look sowie den diversen Cast, andere kritisierten des Film schlichtweg als "Tragödie".

Das Zeiträstel ist der erste Film mit einem Budget von über 100 Millionen Dollar, der von einer farbigen Frau gedreht wurde, was dem Film viel Lob einbrachte. Regisseurin Ava DuVernay (Selma) hätte einen visuell berauschendes Werk voller mitreißender Emotion inszeniert. Disney erhofft sich hier mit Sicherheit einen ähnlichen Erfolg wie Black Panther, ebenfalls einer der wenigen Filme eines farbigen Regisseurs, der ein solch hohes Budget überschritt. Dieser hätte übrigens zuerst von DuVernay inszeniert werden sollen.

A Wrinkle in Time handelt von der 13-jährigen Meg, die mit einem Schulfreund und ihrem Bruder auf die abenteuerliche Suche nach ihrem vermissten Vater geht. Dabei begegnet sie den übernatürlichen Wesen Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who und Mrs. Which, gespielt von Oprah Winfrey (Der Butler), Reese Witherspoon (Der große Trip - Wild) und Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project). Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond) soll derweil Mr. Murray verkörpern, den Vater von Meg.

Wie der Film sich am Ende macht, erfahren die Amerikaner offiziell am 9. März. Dann dürfen wir auch die ersten vollständigen Kritiken erwarten.

Since embargo is up...saw A Wrinkle In Time...it's intentions are noble, but this adaptation doesn't work. Movie has a ton of issues. Loved the Sade and Demi Lovato songs tho. Looking forward to what Ava does next.

The problem with people today is that we can’t just be REAL about certain topics because it seems like we are “negative” or a “hater” but I believe in telling the truth. With that being said, #WrinkleInTime will not top #BlackPanther in sales. It was a total flop! 😫😢🧐🤷🏽‍♂️
