The journeywoman of the carpenter's guild Karla Altmann shows up in Büttenwarder to temporarily find work and accommodation. Kuno sends her to the Brakelmann farm. She likes it immediately and apparently a skilled craftswoman is needed. But Adsche has no work or accommodation to offer and advises the craftswoman to look around the village. The journeywoman cannot be brushed off and asks Adsche to help her find a job in the village. For that she was ready to do fifty-fifty with him on the profit. With his nominal value in mind, Adsche finally accepts her suggestion. Accommodation on his farm isn't possible though.

While secretly poaching, Adsche and Hajo discover a domestic pig with a leash - but without a master. Hajo is amazed to see that it is "Bertha", his daughter Fine's favorite pig. Hajo on the other hand sold "Bertha" to Shorty after it bit Hajo's wife Britta. After a quick check at Shorty's, Hajo and Adsche realize that Bertha is obviously blessed with the ability to find truffle mushrooms - hence the muzzle. Nominal value is in the air.
